Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the WordShuttle mobile application ("App") and associated website (collectively, the "Service"), operated by FlyDaddyDevelopments ("we," "us," or "our").

By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated herein by reference. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age (or 16 in the European Union/United Kingdom) to use the Service. By using the App, you represent that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 18, you confirm that you have obtained parental or guardian consent.

The App is intended for personal, non-commercial use only.

3. Your Account

You must create an account to play WordShuttle. Sign-in is required using Google Sign-In, Sign in with Apple, Email (via Firebase), or Game Center to access all game features, save your statistics, and enable multiplayer and leaderboards.

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activity that occurs under your account
• Choosing a display name that is not offensive, impersonating, or in violation of any third party's rights
• Notifying us immediately if you suspect unauthorized use of your account

We reserve the right to reclaim or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, impersonate other users, or use inappropriate display names.

4. License to Use the App

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the App on your personal iOS device(s) solely for personal, non-commercial entertainment purposes.

This license does not include the right to:

• Modify, adapt, translate, or create derivative works of the App
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Distribute, sell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the App or its content
• Use automated bots, scripts, or tools to interact with the App
• Remove or alter any proprietary notices in the App

5. User Conduct

When using the Service, you agree not to:

• Cheat, exploit bugs, or use third-party software to gain an unfair advantage
• Manipulate game matchmaking, leaderboards, or score systems
• Harass, abuse, or harm other players
• Use a display name that is obscene, hateful, or impersonating
• Attempt to access accounts, data, or systems you are not authorized to access
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its servers
• Violate any applicable local, state, national, or international law

We reserve the right to investigate violations and take appropriate action, including permanently banning accounts.

6. Content Standards

WordShuttle is a friendly word game. To keep it that way, you agree not to use the following forms of user-generated content in ways that violate these Content Standards:

• Display name — the name that appears on your profile, friend list, leaderboards, and challenge cards.
• Profile picture — the image that appears alongside your display name.

Content that violates these standards includes, without limitation:

• Offensive, threatening, sexually explicit, hateful, or harassing language;
• Images that contain nudity, sexual content, violence, hate symbols, or copyrighted material you don't own;
• Impersonation of another person, brand, or organization;
• Advertising, spam, or content promoting external services;
• Content designed to deceive, defraud, or otherwise harm other WordShuttle users.

7. Reporting and Enforcement

WordShuttle users can report a display name or profile picture they believe violates these Content Standards from within the app. We review every report and take action at our sole discretion. Depending on the severity and history of the violation, our response may include, without limitation:

• Content reset. We may replace your display name with a neutral placeholder (for example, Player-XXXXXXXX) and remove your profile picture. Your account otherwise remains active and you may set a new, compliant display name and profile picture at any time.
• Account termination. We may permanently delete your account, which removes your access to WordShuttle across all devices and all game data associated with your account. Where legally permitted, we may retain a limited internal record of the enforcement action for audit purposes.

We are not obligated to notify you before taking any of these actions, and we do not offer a formal appeals process. If you believe we've taken action in error, you can contact us at support@wordshuttle.app and we will review your request.

You can also block another user directly from within the app. Blocking prevents that user's display name and profile picture from appearing anywhere you can see them, and prevents them from sending you challenges or friend invites.

8. Pro Subscriptions & Purchases

8.1 Pro Features

Certain features are available only to Pro subscribers, including unlimited solo games, Time Trial mode, bonus power-ups, and an ad-free experience. Pro is offered as a subscription with pricing displayed in the App at the time of purchase.

8.2 Billing

All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. By subscribing, you authorize Apple to charge your Apple ID account on a recurring basis at the rate shown at purchase. Your subscription will automatically renew unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.

8.3 Cancellation

To cancel your subscription, go to iOS Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions → WordShuttle. You will retain Pro access until the end of your current billing period. We do not issue partial refunds for unused time.

8.4 Refunds

All sales are final except as required by applicable law or Apple's refund policies. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com. FlyDaddyDevelopments does not process refunds directly.

8.5 Price Changes

We may change Pro pricing at any time. Price changes will take effect at your next renewal. We will notify you in advance of any price change through the App or email.

9. Virtual Items & Game Content

Any virtual items, power-ups, or in-game content obtained through the App are licensed to you, not sold. They have no real-world monetary value, cannot be transferred or traded, and may be modified or removed at our discretion without notice or compensation.

We are not responsible for any loss of virtual items due to account termination, technical issues, or changes to the game.

10. Intellectual Property

All content in the App — including but not limited to the game design, logic, graphics, typography, sound, code, trademarks ("WordShuttle"), and the word list — is the property of FlyDaddyDevelopments and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You may not use our trademarks, logos, or branding without our prior written consent.

If you submit feedback, ideas, or suggestions to us, you grant us a perpetual, royalty-free, worldwide license to use that feedback for any purpose without compensation or attribution to you.

11. Third-Party Services

The App integrates with third-party services including Firebase (Google) for authentication (including Email sign-in), database, storage, and crash reporting (Crashlytics); Google AdMob for advertising; RevenueCat for subscription management; Google Sign-In; Sign in with Apple; and Apple Game Center. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices or content of any third-party service.

12. App Store Distribution

You acknowledge that the App is licensed, not sold, to you and that this Agreement is between you and FlyDaddyDevelopments only — not with Apple, Inc. FlyDaddyDevelopments, not Apple, is solely responsible for the App, its content, any warranties (whether express or implied), maintenance and support services, and any user claims relating to the App (including product-liability, consumer-protection, and intellectual-property claims).

To the extent required by Apple's Developer Program License Agreement, the terms of Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (available at apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula) are incorporated into this Agreement by reference and apply to your use of the App.

You further acknowledge that Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this Agreement and, upon your acceptance, will have the right (but not the obligation) to enforce it against you.

13. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION.

We do not warrant that: (a) the App will meet your requirements; (b) the App will be available at any particular time; (c) any errors will be corrected; or (d) the App is free of viruses or harmful components.

14. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, FLYDADDYDEVELOPMENTS AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES — INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, GAME PROGRESS, VIRTUAL ITEMS, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL — ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR USD $10, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

15. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless FlyDaddyDevelopments and its affiliates from any claims, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; or (c) your violation of any third party's rights.

16. Termination

We may terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for any reason including violation of these Terms. Upon termination, your license to use the App ends immediately. Sections 10 (Intellectual Property), 12 (App Store Distribution), 13 (Disclaimers), 14 (Limitation of Liability), and 15 (Indemnification) survive termination.

You may stop using the App at any time. To delete your account, email us at support@wordshuttle.app.

17. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Collin County, Texas.

If you are a consumer in the EU or UK, you may also have rights under the laws of your country of residence that cannot be waived by contract.

18. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top. Material changes will be communicated via in-app notification or email. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
